Leaman/Roberts Duo

The duo Leaman/Roberts is formed by Clifford Leaman, University of South Carolina, and Timothy Roberts, of the Conservatory of Shenandoah.
Professor of saxophone at the University of South Carolina, Clifford Leaman has taught at the university level for more than thirty years, and served on the faculties of the University of Furman, Eastern Michigan University, and the University of Michigan prior to his appointment at USC.
Leaman is much in demand as a soloist and clinician, and has performed and taught in the united States, Canada, Italy, Spain, France, Slovenia, spain, Sweden, Australia, Colombia, Croatia, Thailand, Taiwan and China, where he has been a guest artist on nine occasions. He has performed as a soloist in concert with the Symphony Orchestra of ShenZhen, in the XII and XV World Congress of the Saxophone, and at the Biennial Conferences of 2006 and 2014 North American Saxophone Alliance. Also, he was a soloist of the concert at the International Symposium of Bands of the Navy, 2008 in Washington D. C. Leaman has given concerts all over the world and has released four compact discs of works for saxophone and piano acclaimed by critics in the seal Equilibrium. Leaman has also performed on numerous occasions with the duo RoseWind. As an avid proponent of contemporary music, Dr. Leaman has commissioned and premiered globally numerous works, including concertos by composers Leslie Bassett, William Bolcom, and Michael Colgrass, awarded with the Pulitzer Prize.
Dr. Leaman is an artist-clinician for D Addario and Conn-Selmer Company, Inc. and touch exclusively with saxophones Selmer and reeds D Addario. The saxophonist american Timothy Roberts is currently a professor of saxophone and president of the Instrumental Division of the Conservatory Shenandoah Winchester, Virginia. He retired as a Saxophonist Main and Solo National Tour with the Navy Band in Wash, DC, where he was also Coordinator of the International Symposium on Saxophone of the Navy, making it one of the largest exclusive events saxophone in the world. As one of the leading soloists of the concert of the Navy, he played for five U.S. presidents, many foreign dignitaries and hundreds of thousands of people in the lower 48 states and around the world from 1987 to 2011. The Washington Post described his performance in the Kennedy Center's Concertino da Camera Ibert, with the National Symphony Orchestra as "simply stunning". She has recently acted in the Conservatory of Sydney, in the Festival Clarisax of Medellin (Colombia), at the World Congress of Saxophone from Strasbourg (France) and with the Mahidol Wind Symphony of Bangkok (Thailand), at the time that was given workshops at the National Conservatory of Paris and at the Conservatorio di Musica G. Verdi of Milan (Italy)
