PROGRAM NOTES

"Crosswind", Chin Ting Chan, is brimming with interactivity and energy. Presents gestures intricate that not only stimulate conversations, but also created a complex texture in general. Often, it is intended that the two instruments are heard as a single entity. The music of Chin Ting stems from his interest to represent his impressions of the visual world with sound images. Often inspired by patterns and shapes that are discovered in everyday objects, as well as in imaginary landscapes with which it is sometimes found. "Places Never Painted", Phillip Sink, is inspired by a poem of Sink and explores the idea that many places wild and beautiful Land must be experienced and enjoyed in the moment, and cannot be reimaginados by the human hand. The music of Sink is inspired by the social consciousness, the human experience, science, and the arts. "Going", Michael Rene Torres, was composed originally with a video accompaniment that included images of driving through Ohio. The music reflects the excitement and loneliness of travel long distances daily for work purposes.
